"BLACK AND WHITE", SIMON STUDER ART, GENÈVE, SUISSE

Du 30 septembre au 29 octobre 2021, Simon Studer Art présente "BLACK AND WHITE", un accrochage consacré aux œuvres de JR issues des projets Giants, The Wrinkles of the City, Ballet, Inside Out, ou encore Unframed.
L’exposition met en avant les points de convergence de ces différents projets : la prédilection de JR pour le noir et blanc, mais aussi son travail sur l’échelle et la perspective.
Avec GIANTS, Mohamed YOUNES IDRISS from Sudan, Flamengo, JR déploie ainsi le portrait monumental de l’athlète sur la façade et le toit d’un immeuble de Rio, alors en pleine célébration des Jeux Olympiques de 2016.
Avec GIANTS, Death Valley, billboard, il recrée une continuité dans la ligne d’horizon entre son installation et les montagnes en arrière-plan, entre l’artifice et le naturel, et brouille notre perception des plans.
